Alfanar Engineering Services has received a recognition letter from Jubail Water and Power Company (JWAP), one of Marafiq’s affiliated companies, in appreciation of its exceptional support during the emergency incident that affected JWAP’s plant.

Chairman of the Board of Directors of JWAP and President & CEO of Marafiq, commended the outstanding efforts of Alfanar Engineering Services’ team, highlighting their exceptional support during the emergency incident, their direct contribution to repair and restoration activities, and their role in accelerating the recovery of operational stability at the plant, which has a power generation capacity of 2,744 MW daily and a water desalination capacity of 800,000 cubic meters per day. The letter also praised the team’s high level of professionalism, rapid response, effective handling of the situation, collaboration, and dedication, which positively contributed to restoring the plant’s operational capacity within a record timeframe.

Alfanar Engineering Services’ scope included power cable

fault identification, repair, replacement, installation, testing, commissioning, and system restoration. The team successfully executed the immediate mobilization of a professional team to complete the repair of four power transformers rated up to 680 MVA / 380 kV. The work included condition assessment and repair activities within a very limited timeframe, followed by testing, commissioning, and urgent re-energization of the transformers.
